Vision Statement

To be a change agent that serves as catalyst to promote partnership and internalization of technical education and research which meets staff capacity building on one hand and students training and market needs on the other hand thereby making Federal Polytechnic, Ede a globally first rated Polytechnic.

Objectives

• To explore opportunities for functional relationship and collaboration with local and international institutions, agencies, individuals and industries for training, research and overall advancement of the Polytechnic
• To establish a functional relationship with the alumni to encourage them to give back to the system both in cash and kind

A critical focus of the directorate is building relationships and exploring opportunities for staff and students’ holistic development through effective collaboration.

Our core values in achieving this mandate are integrity, inclusivity, innovation, excellence and social responsibility.

This proposal is aimed at outlining the action plan for the year 2022 to 2025and is presented in five section as follows:

The Operational Divisions
• Linkages: the division is responsible for exploring opportunities of possible collaboration with institutions, agencies and industries within and outside Nigeria. The goal is to partnership for training, research and exchange programmes for overall development of the Polytechnic, .thus benefiting the staff, students and the Polytechnic at Large.

  • Work with other departments to manage established partnership and collaboration
• Alumni Relations: the division is responsible for building and maintaining a strong mutual relationship with the alumni that will endear the Polytechnic to their hearts.

  • Create a platform for interaction between students and alumni
  • Engage the alumni on initiatives that foster relationship and institutional development and advancement

• Advancement: the division is responsible for planning, managing and implementing
• Targets of Friends and funds raising initiatives
• Activities that increase and sustain philanthropic support for the Polytechnic
• Endowment funds
The main goal is to ensure funds realised are used for the purpose for which they are raised in order to advance the mission of the Polytechnic.

• Development: the division is responsible for building relationship with donors, sponsors, alumni and other existing and new supporters of the polytechnic. The main goals is to raise friends and funds for the purpose of generating financial and non-financial support for the Polytechnic through donation, sponsorship, endowment and other forms of philanthropy.

• Work with departments in the institution to create and execute fund raising campaigns and other initiatives
• Track donations, endowments and gifts
• Produce reports on the analytics of fund raising efforts periodically
